Where did the last 6 months go? Blink and you missed it. I can not believe that this little guy is 6 months already. Let the adventures in baby led weaning begin! Spaghetti and meatballs certainly went down well! I love baby led weaning for the ease of just having what you are having. I’m not super keen on the mess but it’s only short term and at least with this glorious weather we can eat outside!

We are no strangers to cooking outside in our house. My husband is out in all weather with the BBQ or pizza oven. Friday round our way was such a lovely day, sunny and beginning to feel warmer. So with the warmth of the air we decided to make it the first pizza oven night of the year. We bought this pizza oven by Uuni a couple of years ago and it’s had a lot of use since then. It’s unbelievable quick to cook, just 60-90 seconds per pizza so you have to be prepared to get them in and out no hanging about. It has a stone base and is fired by wood pellets. One Friday we prepped 5 smallish pizzas to share between the 4 of us with various toppings. Once again it didn’t disappoint! Yummy yummy!

This week I’ve chosen a photo that makes my heart happy.

At 5 and a half weeks old we’re getting smiles. What’s more I actually managed to capture the end of one on camera, with his oldest brother just in the background.

His brothers love him very much and are always wanting to kiss and hug him, no matter what he’s doing. Which is lovely, but when I’m trying to feed him it can get a bit difficult. His latch isn’t the greatest any way and so having them all over him can sometimes really hurt me!

My Sunday Photo – January 7th 2017

This week I looked for a while for a photo, but the same one kept jumping out. I was torn though. Not many people want to see a photo of my family. It’s much more interesting to look at something else. But then I realised that these little guys are my world. As this is my blog and I write it for the boys, I realised it’s ok to have a photo of my world on it.

This photo isn’t the best, it’s grainy and taken in bad light. But it captures the moment. The moment in time we were all together. My whole world (minus the hubby) in one photo.

I love it! I love them more than they will ever know.

My world

I did it, he arrived. We are getting to know each other in the world.
He was born at home on the 29th November, I’m still in shock that I did it again. I brought my baby into the world by myself at home (watched on by the amazing midwifes).
We are in love.
I am a mummy of three boys.
Welcome to the world little Roo.

My Sunday Photo – Coffee Table

coffee table
Staying with last weeks theme of baby bump photos because I’ll never get this chance again. This week marks 38-39 weeks pregnant. The bump now makes a perfect coffee table for my morning coffee. A nice big bottomed mug sits perfectly on top of the bump. The problem comes when I try to eat something and it ends up all down me because I can’t get close enough to a table or plate to catch the crumbs! I’m sure all pregnant ladies will know my predicament!

This weeks photo was captured as I was filming them together. My youngest had got upset about something and was crying. I actually can’t remember now why he was crying. The eldest offered to read him his current favourite book at the kitchen table. Currently his favourite book (which changes weekly!) is Hamiltons Hats. So as he started reading I picked up my phone to film. I like to film them as much as I can to keep for future. Not for anyone else to see just us, so we can look back at them in a few years.

As I’m filming on the phone I’ll often just take a snapshot as I go, so it’s only from my iPhone and totally unposed (when in so many ways it does look like it might have been) I can give my honest word it was just a lovely moment they had together.

My Sunday Photo – May 21st 2017

This week I picked a photo of my youngest. We were all having a family day at a local attraction, an ice cream farm. We were playing mini golf and he sat down for a rest. He has such long hair because I love long hair on boys (plus he doesn’t like getting it cut!). The wind caught it at just the moment hubby went to take his picture. His face is funny fighting against the wind, with his hair flying everywhere. I love the boys so much.

My Sunday Photo

My picture this week, isn’t a beautiful shot. It isn’t something stunning. It’s not something you’d put on the wall. But it’s a picture I just want to savour. A napping 2 year old after a busy day. In just a few short years he will have grown. In just a few short years theres no way he’d do this anymore. Fast asleep. Totally zonked out. This was only yesterday. After a busy day travelling on steam trains he fell asleep on the way home. He woke briefly as he came into the house, only to fall back asleep again. I left him for a little while but it was almost bedtime.
Every parents dilemma, a nap near bedtime. I tried to wake him by putting on his pyjamas. He wasn’t for waking. I carried him upstairs and put him to bed. He still asleep now. Fingers tightly crossed he stays that way all night. A sleeping baby (well he’s a toddler I suppose) is just so innocent. I just want to kiss his face and feel his breath on my face. I love him so dearly.
